A spring seminar under the sign of CSR

What better place than a local, organic and eco-responsible brewery to start our spring seminar?

Since 1999, the Moulins d’Ascq company has been brewing 100% organic beers. Located in Villeneuve d’Ascq, the brewery has recently moved to brand new premises designed to be thermally neutral. Alban Decoster, co-manager, introduced us to their eco-responsible approach with the reuse of beer bottles, a green energy with Enercoop and the use of electric cars for the sales staff.

We worked all morning on our agency’s new offer, then we were taken for a tour of the production site and discovered all the secrets of beer making!

In the afternoon, we discovered the world of the social and solidarity economy (SSE). We visited the Bouquinerie du Sart, an association allowing integration through work that has been offering work to people living in shelters since 2015. The Bouquinerie’s team collects 6,000 books a day, which are sorted and sold on the internet and in the 500 m2 bookshop. Marine Buriez, co-founder of the Bouquinerie, welcomed us in their brand new café to present the functioning of the association. More recently, a thrift shop has been launched in the same premises.

Then it was time for hands-on activities ! We helped sorting books and clothes, as well as tidying up.

All in all, it was a busy day with great inspiration for our own CSR process. A big thank you to the teams of Moulins d’Ascq and the Bouquinerie du Sart for their excellent welcome!
